glamour shots

I had the chance to get another ultrasound last week because Baby M is tracking a little bigger then "normal." Nothing to worry about, it is common, but gave me a chance to see him again. Unfortunately Tim wasn't able to come but we have another one scheduled for the 13th and he will get to be there!

It was crazy how different he looked from the last ultrasound that was done around 22 weeks. I even said to the tech (who looked at me like I was crazy) "wow, he really looks like a real baby!" What I meant was, he looks like he could be born that minute and it was a little bit of a shock/reality check! At the beginning of the ultrasound he was being a little shy and hiding his face but by the end he started moving and we got some really great shots of his little pudgy cheeks and what I like to think of as his first smile! It truly was the best moment to see him, put a face to all of his movements in my belly for the last couple of months and know that soon he would be here to hold in person.

Here are some of the shots from the session, stay tuned for next time.

He decided to move his hands from his face

Call me crazy but I think that is a smile!

Here is a hand and a foot, these are what keeps me on my toes all day.

best. weekend. ever.

So I don't normally like to brag, but indulge me.

I have the most wonderful friends and family ever!

At the end of March I flew into Seattle for the weekend and had such a great time! My two dear friends, Kat and Kaley threw a joint baby shower for Paige and I and it was more then I could of hoped for. Paige summed it up really well by saying "my heart is full of love!" This is so true, everyone was so happy, so generous, so accepting all day and it really meant a lot. We have some lucky babies coming into the world with a village of support to help us and them grow. I can't wait! Thank you to everyone who was a part of the shower, present or not. I am so thankful to each one of you ladies in my life and Baby M is lucky to have such wonderful women who already love him.

A group shot of some of the girls. note there are FOUR pregnant ladies in the pic! Lots of friends for Baby M!

What would a shower be without some cute Coug gear! Thanks Erin and Mom!

The Hand Off

As you know we took care of Tim's parents new dog, Howie,  for a couple of months before he made the trek to Bainbridge Island. I traveled with him to Seattle at the end of March and got to see him get acclimated before I left him in his new home with Debbie and Ed. Howie found a special place in my heart and was really a great pleasure to have around for the last couple of months. He was a loyal office companion, always hanging out with me during the day. He was a constant cuddle bug always looking for a lap to jump in. He was also a close buddy of Murphy and Ruby always looking to play. As I was in Seattle Tim said the pups laid around the front door for the first two days waiting for Howie to come back. They really had a great time together and it will be so fun one day to see them reunited!

I am so happy for Ed and Debbie as I know that Howie will be a great dog for them and keep Ed company during his days in his home office. He took a couple of days to get settled in but it sounds like he is his old self and already bringing joy to their house!
