month one and most of two

Wow, as I write this Eason is 7 weeks, I can't believe how fast time is flying by! In an effort to get the blog up to date I am going to consolidate the last 7 weeks into one and move ahead. Eason has been a really sweet baby since he came home. He is pretty calm (so far...knocking on wood) and is definitely thriving! With each visit to the pediatrician he has been in the 85 percentile for height and weight. His one month stats were 11lbs, 8oz and 22.5 inches long! He sleeps well, grunts and kicks and loves to cuddle (bonus for me!).

Each day he does something new and cute, like make a new sound or face so I stay entertained and fall more in love each day. I am sooo fortunate to have this chance to stay at home with him during these precious weeks! Plus the weather has been great so we get to go out on walks with the dogs each morning and get some air. Tim has been busy with school during the day and preparing for his boards test but he gets to come home and play with Eason - which they obviously both love! Eason is already Daddy's buddy!

During the last couple of weeks we also were graced with our AMAZING mothers who stayed with us and helped out! My Mom was here for a total of four weeks and was more help then she will ever know. It was so special for me to have her here during those hard first weeks and I truly appreciate it. We really put her to work though so I am excited for her to get some quality time with Eason later this month with less stress! Debbie came a week or so after my mom left and we had a fabulous time!! I was healthier and Eason more alert so we got to do some fun things around town and Tim and I even went on a date. She was soo helpful to have and we are forever grateful that she had the chance to come to OKC.

Ok enough with the text, I know you just want to see some pictures anyway..here they are.

homecoming

Well, he's here.....introducing....

Eason Michael McNamara

Eason made quite an entrance on May 29, 2013 at 5:01am. He weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce and measured 21.5 inches - he was a BIG boy. While there were some complications trying to get him here we ended up having a successful cesarean delivery and a healthy and happy boy. Eason did end up spending 5 days in the NICU but the nurses and doctors took excellent care of him and he came home with us on Monday, June 3rd. We are so thankful for everyone's support and love during this time and are so happy to have him with us and thriving. He is a good sleeper, picky eater, very strong, and mostly calm. We are so LUCKY and so in LOVE with this little boy. I can't believe that he is here and he is ours...I have included some photos of Eason taken over the last couple of weeks and will try hard to keep this updated!

A special thanks to my Mom who ended up staying almost a month in OKC with us to help get ready for Eason and bring him into this world. It was wonderful having her here and a huge help...thank you!!

last pics of the belly progress

I know, I know, I'm not pregnant anymore! While I am very happy to have little Eason here, there is an unexplainable feeling about having an empty belly. It is so nice to be able to do simple things like walk, tie my shoes, put pants on standing up...don't get me wrong. But it is a bittersweet feeling to no longer have a little being inside kicking and poking at you, being a constant companion throughout your day. So as I feel a little nostalgic of the experience I realized that I never loaded up the last pictures of my progress before the baby came. For the sake of recording memories and accurately representing this process I wanted to make sure to add a post. Plus it's fun to go back and see how big I got at the end, as it amazes me that I was able to carry such a big boy!
