Deep Thoughts

I saw this on Pinterest and had to share. It is so true in some ways!

Progress

While I had this great plan to take a picture every week....it just hasn't gotten done. I do however have random belly shots that I have taken over time to show the changes and Baby Boy growing - they just aren't as cute I had hoped for. Anyhow, here is the progress over the last couple of months.

Snow Days!

Remember when I was bragging to a few of you that it was 70 degrees just last weekend. Well, it seems that spring is not here yet to stay.  Yesterday it snowed! And it snowed a lot, and stuck. Luckily it was just wet snow so the roads were fine and it is easy to get around today but still it was a shock. Usually Oklahoma weather predictors are the first to talk about a good storm that ends up being just a little sprinkle so we didn't believe them. This time they got it right!

The best part about the snow was how much the dogs loved it. And I mean LOVED it! So to recap, they like the rain, love the snow and when we were in Seattle loved jumping in the bay (which was really cold!) so all in all I think they will be very happy when we move back to the PNW!

Here is a cute video of the dogs playing outside together.

It's a.....

BOY!

Some of you may recall that Tim and I never wanted to find out the sex of the baby. Well that changed in January when we had our last ultrasound and were given the option. We just wanted to know as much as we could about this little being that was going to make an entrance in a matter of months. We did have the ultrasound tech write it down and put it in a sealed envelope thinking we may hold on to it and find out later. Well, we ripped open the envelope before the Dr. had the chance to come in to meet with us. She said we won the prize for waiting the least amount of time to find out! We were SO excited to find out that "baby M" was a boy and have had a lot of fun planning since we found out. Even better news, he is very healthy and all our tests came back with great results!

Here are some updated pics of the ultrasound:

Dogsitting

There is a pattern developing here...it seems that when we go on long trips we like to come home and reward ourselves by picking up a new dog! Getting back from the West Coast for the holidays was no different - what is different is that this time it is just temporary!

Tim's parents adopted a sweet teenager puppy in Oklahoma and for now we are taking care of him and teaching him some tricks before we take him up to Bainbridge this spring. We picked up sweet little Howie a week after we got home from our road trip and have fallen in love with the guy since. He is a very curious, energetic and super sweet dog who (if you can believe it) is glued to us more then the other two pups. He is a constant companion, hanging out in my office all day, cuddling up my lap at every chance I give him.

We are having so much fun teaching Howie some of the basic commands and socializing him with Murphy and Ruby. As of yesterday I think he has officially become a member of their pack, with Murphy and Ruby cuddling up to him for naps and chasing him around to play. He will certainly be missed by all of us when we have to leave him in WA but will be one of the luckiest dogs with Debbie and Ed to take care of him. They are anxious for his arrival and will have so much fun with Howie!

He is a chewer! Loves his bones.

He has become a loyal office companion
